I'm pretty confident that my first word was "horse". Despite a completely non-horsey family, I was lucky enough to grow up riding regularly and spending every spare second working at my local riding schools. I could never afford one of my own, but I did encounter a few very special horses. I often took my camera out to the farm and with me on holidays.
When I moved to Australia in 2016, I attended Sydney Film School, where I received a Diploma of Screen & Media and was involved in a few short films before coming back to horses. Since then, I have worked for vets, stud farms, yearling sales, and racehorse trainers, seeing all parts of the thoroughbred lifecycle. I regularly photograph at the local dressage and showjumping clubs, and now own a couple of horses myself, including off the track thoroughbred Finn (pictured right), who is developing into a talented jumper.
